This is my first installment of "MY CLIENTS". Real clients, who are getting ready to sell their homes, looking for homes or have just purchased homes and their real life sale and purchase scenarios. Helping East Bay real estate clients is exciting!
My client Bill, pictured above, had a healthy purchase budget and wanted a beautiful home in the San Francisco Bay Area. He had looked for over a year and never found what he was looking for. So he switched agents. I was his "new" agent and carefully listened to what his needs were. I brought him to this "modicum of charm" home that was listed with 1 "Open House" and offers due in 4 days. The window of opportunity made all my bells and whistles go off!
I whisked Bill to 835 56th St, Oakland, CA for a preview of the 2 Bedroom | 1 Bath Craftsman home, and we wrote his offer the same day. At this point, he was with me for 1 week! The home was old, built in 1912 and had many windows bringing in fantastic light, hardwood floors underneath the carpeting and had been kept in excellent condition as it was held by the same owner for 50 years. The home was under his budget leaving him room for renovation. It was easy for Bill and I to determine together, how home renovation would modernize and add value to become the home he had envisioned with all the charm he had desired.
We were the successful bid. Bill has already drawn up plans and begun his remodel. I stopped in to check on his renovation and snapped the pic above. It's easy to see he has made terrific progress. Stay tuned for updates on Bill's home and further installments of "My Clients", they are terrific!
